BlockKeeper is another version of fake antivirus program that came from the same group who created BlockScanner, BlockWatcher and SoftBarrier. Just like its other variants, BlockKeeper will keep on displaying fake security alerts on infected system to attract users attention and purchase the registered version of the program. This method has been applied since the birth of rogue programs. BlockKeeper will modify Internet Explorer default home page settings and set it to redirect to a BlockKeeper - Online Protection, a mimic of Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSoD).

You can utilize legit anti-malware program like Malwarebytes AntiMalware as BlockKeeper removal tool. To remove it, download MalwareBytes Antimalware on computer. After download install it and update the virus definition file. You must be connected to Internet to do this. Reboot your computer in Safe Mode and make sure that Internet connection is not established. Do a complete scan with MBAM and remove all detected malware. Reboot if prompted, you computer is now clean from virus and malware.
